Snippets Playground Challenge #462

There is a new challenge in the Playground for the coming fortnight and, as usual, a super prize on offer. My card this time is fairly simple so only a small number of snippets used - just a piece of card which had been inked using various Distress Oxides and some snippets of white for stamping the flower image, parts of which were fussy cut and layered up to give some dimension.  Various texture stamps have been used to over stamp the coloured piece for interest. The card blank was stamped with a wide border before assembling the rest of the components.

Snippets used - not much left😉

Border Stamp - unknown origin, possibly a magazine free gift
Flower Stamp - from Aall & Create
Texture stamps - miscellaneous from my stash
Sentiment - word stickers which came with a magazine gift (Indigo Blue)

  1. Gorgeous card Val, from the inky base layer to the focal inky background and A&C flower which of course is a hit with me.

  2. Ooh I LOVE a bit of grunge, as you know! Lovely background stamp on the Kraft card base. It's another Aall & Create stamp called 'Lined' (#80) designed by Olga Heldwein. Great card using my fave flower stamp.

Thanks for coming to play in the SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND. I'll see you up in the Treehouse later where we can carry on playing with that flower stamp and creating little pieces of art in Art Club! xxx

  5. Wow Val - stunning card! I immediately recognised the flower stamp as being one of Sarn's favourites. And the multi coloured background is really lovely!

  6. Really love how you have combined the pretty panel onto the stamped kraft card. It looks wonderful. (That flower stamp is on my wish list!)

  7. I absolutely love this grungy look Val using the A & C stamps and love the way you have coloured the topper bringing out parts by keeping it white really works beautifully. I notice that you used this pretty flower a couple of posts ago, with another A & C stencil, and in softer colours..so different but really pretty too. x
