Sympathy Card

Today's card is one which I really hope I don't need any time soon although it is always handy to have one or two in the box just in case I get a request for one.  I've used stamps and a selection of dies for this and chosen my favourite shade of blue with cream which I think is a bit softer than using a bright white. Items used from several different sets and suppliers so plenty to put away tidily so I can find them again 😉

Background - paper from Stampin' Up Boho Indigo suite with some misty moonlight card
Leaves and Berries - stamps and dies from Forever Fern also SU
Smallest Berries - from a Sizzix die set
Square dies - from Phill Martin and Tonic dies used for plain squares
Smaller Square - embossed with Bark 3D folder from SU
Sentiment - stamp from my favourite freebie set from years back
Shaped dies - Stitched so Sweetly from SU (retired)

Coming Home

Last Christmas I had some Designer Papers, some of which had several buildings and trees which could be fussy cut to add to cards and I went a bit mad and cut out far more than I could use at the time.  However in true 'never waste anything' style I have brought them out of hiding to use on some of this year's cards.  For this particular DL card I've used some of the smaller houses as well as a regular sized one in the foreground.  The snowy slopes were die cut using a variety of dies and a greeting sticker added to finish off the card even though there isn't much doubt that it is meant for Christmas 😉.   There are two more slightly less complicated cards which I will show you in due course and I still have a few stray buildings to be used up.

Snowy Slopes - dies from Crafter's Companion, Stampin' Up and Lawn Fawn
Houses and trees - mostly fussy cut from the Coming Home DSP Stampin' Up (retired)
Sky - scrap of DSP from the same DSP pack
Sentiment - sticker from Clarity sticker book

Time Flies

Somehow a week or so has whizzed by without me having made a card, due in part to my mojo taking a break.  I struggled a bit to get back into the swing but after a couple of false starts I eventually came up with this card using a selection of dies and stamps.  I started with the background fancy die cut which I backed with some blue card, no problem there, but then it was a case of what else would work on this tall slim card.  I eventually settled on cutting two smaller tall slim shapes then stamped the vase and die cut the leaves finally adding a couple of small flowers.  The sentiment tag was left from cutting some windows for a previous card so I decided to use it with the addition of a piece of ribbon and a computer printed sentiment.

Tall dies - Paper Discovery Slimline set from Craft Stash
Tag - from Have a Hoot die set Stampin' Up
Vase and Leaves - from Boho Indigo Suite Stampin' Up

Pixie Snippets Playground - Challenge 409

I'm here in the Playground again making use of more of my snippets of card and paper and apart from the base card everything else came from my snippet mountain, mainly white pieces this time.  I found pieces on which to stamp the words in several different colours and then fussy cut them all so that I had a selection of different coloured strips to build up the tag. Of course I now have quite a little collection of these variously coloured words to use on other cards. The stamp comes as a whole and was stamped onto a tag (die cut from another snippet of white) so that I could place the different coloured pieces, adding a punched heart and three tiny punched banners to tone in.  Similar colours were used to stamp the tiny motif over the background.  There is a really fun stamp as the prize this time around so do have a go if you'd fancy possibly being able to add this to your collection - someone has to win!!

Stamps - Birthday Wit set from Stampin' Up (retired)
Punches - heart and small banner Stampin' Up
Tag- die from Tim Holtz, Sizzix
