Tall Floral Card

Another tall card to share today - quite getting to like this format now I've made a few cards.  For this one I've stamped the flowers onto cream card using two shades of blue ink and of course some green for the leaves.  A large sentiment was stamped onto matching card and die cut - relatively simple but I'm pleased with the result.

Label - due from a Sue Wilson set
Sentiment - from my favourite set of free sentiment stamps which I've had a while

Sympathy Card

Butterfly Collections seem to be taking over the crafting world at the moment and for this sympathy card I've CASE'd a card  made by Stacey Marsh which I spotted recently on You Tube.  Hers was smaller and was a Birthday one but I followed the basic idea using stamps and dies which I have in my stash.  I'm trying really hard to resist buying any of the latest butterfly stamps and dies which are fluttering around although I must admit that some designer paper is winging its way to me shortly.

I started by heat embossing the cream texture and 'splodges' onto some grey card before blending using two shades of blue ink.  This was layered onto black and I added a die cut butterfly and a sentiment stamped and heat embossed.

Pixie Snippets Challenge #398

The weeks do come around quickly and it is time for another visit to the Playground for the current challenge where Lesley is a guest designer with no less than three super cards for inspiration and to showcase the prize.  My Snippets make this time is an Anniversary card which of course incorporates hearts, and birds.  Apart from the card blank and the largest square layer, everything else came from my various Snippets boxes.  Birds were stamped onto scraps of watercolour paper, coloured and die cut; the fancy heart was also die cut from a scrap of watercolour paper backed with another heart cut from a kraft card snippet.  A couple of die cut scribbles and a stamped sentiment, together with a larger snippet of left over background paper and that's it - my entry for the challenge this time.

Design Paper - scrap left over from printout using a Chocolate Baroque CD
Birds - from Best Birds set Stampin' Up (retired I think)
Plain heart - from a set of Tonic dies
Decorative heart - die from Apple Blossom
Swirls - Swirly scribbles die set from Stampin' Up (also retired I think)
