Another Cameo

While I had my cameo die set out on the desk I made another card using up some more of my snippets - using them means I don't have to tidy them away into the boxes.  A large text stamp was used on a square of white card which was then layered onto a cherry coloured layer.  Using a matching ink pad I stamped the flowers and the shaped label, both of which have been fussy cut.  Fancy border and cameo were cut from snippets of card and a smaller white label was stamped with the wording.

Floral Card

I have a floral card to share where I've used some designer paper which has outline images printed all over ready to be used as they are or coloured and fussy cut which is the option I've chosen today. Once the flowers were cut out I dry embossed some matching card and layered it up with a darker piece behind and a triangle of dotty paper on the top.  Two label shapes were cut and the wording stamped ready to layer everything together. Another card to add to my growing collection.

.Flowers - from Stampin' Up True Love DSP
Colouring - used Inktense pencils and then fussy cut with scissors
Embossing - folder which came free with a magazine
Dotty Paper - printed from Crafter's Companion CD which I've had for ages
Label Shapes - from Sue Wilson Caribbean die sets
Greeting - free stamps with magazine
Square dies - Tonic

Stencils

I have quite a collection of stencils and/or masks which are sadly under-used so I decided to have a stencil play and this is the resulting card. I started by putting the cream card and stencil through a die cutting machine in order to emboss the design so that it stood out a little.  I then carefully brushed the inks onto the flowers - first masking off the leaves and stems.  Next move was to mask the flowers and ink the stems using green ink. The 'Happy' word was die cut leaving a small section underneath where I could adhere the 'birthday' word.  Layered  onto some matching card and that's my stencilling effort for the day.

Happy - die from Crafter's Companion
Birthday - computer generated in Word
Stencil - Crafters Workshop Mini Cornflowers
