I have quite a collection of stencils and/or masks which are sadly under-used so I decided to have a stencil play and this is the resulting card. I started by putting the cream card and stencil through a die cutting machine in order to emboss the design so that it stood out a little. I then carefully brushed the inks onto the flowers - first masking off the leaves and stems. Next move was to mask the flowers and ink the stems using green ink. The 'Happy' word was die cut leaving a small section underneath where I could adhere the 'birthday' word. Layered onto some matching card and that's my stencilling effort for the day.
Happy - die from Crafter's Companion
Birthday - computer generated in Word
Stencil - Crafters Workshop Mini Cornflowers

ReplyDeleteLoving your stencil work .. .. .. not many stencils in my collection and those I do have tend to be just backgrounds patterns.
