A simple butterfly card to share with you today with some die-cut layers. Backing paper is from a pad which I've had for such a long time - think it was from K and Co. Core-dinations card square layer cut using Tonic dies; circles are from Spellbinders. The image is an embellishment from a Polkadoodle CD and has been printed twice so that it could be cut out and layered with a simple sentiment added.
We are back to sunshine although thankfully not as hot - enjoy the weekend whatever you are doing.

Silhouette
The idea this week on Make My Monday is to use a silhouette on the project so I've used one of my favourite silhouette stamps - the agapanthus from Stampendous which is a versatile image. This time it was stamped once then repeated without reinking which gives some perspective. Distress inks were dusted across the cut out shape (Stampin' Up label from Sizzix), then I simply added a sentiment and a couple of stamped and punched butterflies (SU). Background paper is from Prima, overstamped with the agapanthus.

House of Cards
We are into the second month with House of Cards and this time we have a sketch to follow and as this is the first week of the month we are back to CUTE AND FUN. I've chosen an image from Polkadoodles - well two actually because I've combined the girl with the fence because I thought she needed something to be sitting on. Backing paper is from a free pad I acquired recently and an EK Success punch was used for the border strip. The simple addition of a couple of punched flowers with card candy centres; a computer greeting and there we have an approximation of the sketch. Do take a look to see how their design team members have interpreted this by folllowing the link above.

Eat Cake!
I have another House Mouse design to share today - just love this little mouse tucking into the doughnut!! The backing paper is not stuck on at a jaunty angle - that's the way it is printed as a sort of wavy gingham. Border is an X-cut punch and the words were produced on the computer to fit this oval punch from Stampin' Up. Have a good weekend - what's left of it.
