Circles

The theme number 11 on the Daisy and Dandelion challenge is to include as many circles as possible and as a friend had asked me to make a card for her son who is a Chelsea supporter I thought this would meet the circles challenge and make her card at the same time. Onion is playing football and with the footballs, cuttlebug embossing, greeting and dotty background papers by Stampin Up I wouldn't like to count how many circles are actually on this card!
Conveniently the theme for Cute Card Thursday this week was also sport so I have used this card for them also.

Sketch plus Pearls

The challenge over at the Sugar Bowl this week is a sketch by Kathy and we have to use pearls on the card also. Image is coloured with Copics, papers are by K and Co with Prima flowers and pieces of card from my stash.

Oh Baby

The Tanda Teaser challenge this week is entitled 'Oh Baby' so I made a card using an image from a Joanna Sheen CD. Image was trimmed to an oval using Nestabilities - background papers from Stampin Up. I added an acrylic greeting with ribbon.

Blue

The challenge theme for May at Graphicus is Travel and/or colour scheme blue. I don't seem to have anything which qualifies to meet the travel theme but have made a card in blues using stamps from the Elusive Images Brocade set of stamps and some Artylicious paper. Watercolour paper was sprayed with midnight blue and silver Glimmer Mists using Heidi swap masks and the brocade images were stamped with Versamark and embossed in silver. The flourishes were stamped on plain blue card using Adirondack denim dye ink, clear embossed. I'm not entirely happy with the finished card and might try something else before the end of the month.

Sweets

The theme for the first challenge on the new Allsorts Challenge blog is 'Sweets' and I've chosen to make a little basket to give as a gift with some special chocolates - an excuse to go out and buy some nice ones!! The basket is made from a square of card and decorated with die cut shapes, flowers and a ribbon bow. The flower does actually tone well with the card although it hasn't photographed too well.

A New Challenge Blog

I have come across a new and different challenge blog at the Next Level - go and have a look

A Recipe

The Penny Black Saturday challenge this week is to make a card using a recipe - take 3 flowers, 2 papers and 1 charm or brad. I have stamped the image onto one of the papers and used the other as a background (both papers by Artylicious) I then added three flowers and a charm with ribbon and some embossing.
