Honey Bees

A card to share today which I made quite a while ago. I over stamped the background with some bees using a small stamp from a magazine freebie set and also used a text stamp from the same set to stamp onto a cream die cut tag.  The other bees, beehive and flowers were stamped and die cut before putting it all together with a simple sentiment..  Not  much sunshine today to encourage the bees but at least it is dry so not all bad.

Home Decor

My Butterfly DSP arrived over the weekend and today I've fussy cut some butterflies from one of the sheets and used another of the pretty papers as a background to make up a box frame - a change from making loads of cards which I don't really need although no doubt I will carry on with cards because it is a thing I  enjoy.  Have to carry on really because no doubt you are aware that I have a mountain of scraps to use up as well as my regular stash items.

This was quite quick and simple to make, adding a die cut frame around the DSP because the box frame is slightly more than 6" square.  Also added white die cut butterflies, raised up over the coloured ones.  I think  that a white box frame would probably have been a better choice but unfortunately black is all I have at present.

Something a Little Bit Different

I recently worked on a class in the post from the lovely Jenny Moor which included four cards to make and a sort of bag/box in which to place them.  There should be pictures of these projects shown on her blog shortly so I'm not posting mine here - we were using the wonderful new Butterfly set from Stampin' Up.   However I had a brainwave and decided to make another one of the boxes to contain six notelet cards which I've made using some A6 card blanks and some of my left over bits and pieces from the snail projects made recently.  I seem to have a good supply of cards for various occasions so thought that as a change I could make these sets of notelet cards to use as small gifts as and when required..  I did actually make the Butterfly class ones as notelets as well so now I have two sets ready to go.

The cards are all slightly different and I've used lots of scraps of paper and card along with miscellaneous images (and part images) from the Snail Mail set by Stampin' Up.   The sentiment was produced on the computer.
