This card makes use of a really tiny flower punch - the swirl was stamped and the flowers were punched out of oddments of background paper, cupped slightly using an embossing tool and then stuck on with a spot of stickles in the centres. Background paper is from Artylicious and another larger flower and some leaves were punched The swirl was a Tanda stamp.

More Beaded Beads

Beadwork
I've been asked to teach another bead weaving workshop later in the year and they wanted some examples for the publicity so I've been playing around with Peyote stitch for a change this time. This bracelet is quite straighforward and I thought it might be a good way to introduce the basic stitch rather than to just get the students to make a sample square with no purpose other than to learn the stitch. I am hoping to go on to teach them how to make beaded beads as well once they know the basics.

Tiled Effect
I saw this effect using a Scor Pal demonstrated briefly on TV and decided to have a go using a Brocade stamp from Elusive Images. Background paper is Artylicious and the sentiment done on the computer. I think this would have possibilities for views through windows (probably using larger squares) as well as giving the effect of tiles on a wall.

Bah Humbug Challenge 16
The Bah Humbug Challenge this week is snowflakes and I've made this DL card using a side stacker image from Crafts U Print. I opened it in My Craft Studio, reduced the size and also added my own text to the little label which was on the sheet. Background card has been embossed using a Cuttlebug snowflake folder and some die cut glitter snowflakes have been added (Cuttlebug die).

Bank Holiday Weather!
Well the weather today is drier than yesterday at the moment but still very chilly. I didn't post anything yesterday because I was away in a very cold and wet Swanage but I did have a nice ride on a steam train and an excellent lunch so not all bad. The card for today is another one made using the Stampin Up bird punch and papers from the Docraft CD which came free with the Creativity magazine. In an effort to keep my mountain of oddments to a minimum I am trying to discipline myself to use all (or most) of any papers which I print off but somehow I always get bits left over and as usual cannot bear to throw them out but at least I did make two cards with these papers. The brads were made uising Papermania make your own brads kit using scraps of the matching papers.
