Bah Humbug challenge 35

The challenge at Bah Humbug this week is to use your favourite medium - that is a difficult one because I have so many favourites which fluctuate from time to time.  I love stamping and playing with inks and nearly all my projects contain something or other produced on the Big Shot - either cutting or embossing  and my machine is out on the bench at my side all the time.  This card uses a new free embossing folder from Papermania and which was given away free on the cover of the current Creatuivity magazine along with a set of clear stamps.  I took a piece of black card and spritzed with copper glimmer mist and once dry put it through the folder to emboss, I then carefully highlighted the embossing with some  copper gilding wax on the tip of a finger to bring out the detail.  Background paper was from a Christmas pad from a couple of years ago and I added some copper ribbon, some more embossed black card using a cuttlebug folder and a greeting on copper mirri card.

Two Busy Days Ahead

I have two busy days ahead demonstrating and a wonderful excuse to play all day and chat to lovely crafty people.  A quick post this morning before I set off - everything packed but the kitchen sink so hope I've not forgotten anything vital.  I will be using my Big Shot and this is one of the cards I made using Tim Holtz tattered flowers die, cutting the flowers from the pages of an old dictionary and colouring them with Glimmer Mists. Background paper is by Artylicious, Nestabilities scalloped square has been embossed with a crafts Too folder and the wording is an elusive Images stamp on another Nesties shape.

Mini Wall hanging

A  quick mini wall hanging which now I've scanned it looks as if it might be improved by the addition of a few bead dangles but time is very short this week so maybe I will make a Seasonal version later and add dangles to that.  This post is a sort of 'sneaky peek' for a few of my friends - maybe I will see you at the weekend!! The shapes were cut with a Sizzix die, sponged with Distress ink and I simply added some flowers and a couple of swirls.

Baby Card

A baby card today - I do love this image from Lily of the Valley and it has been coloured using pencils and cut out using a Nellies die then layered up on a Nestabilities scalloped square with swiss dots embossing. The greeting was done with My craft Studio and I added two punched prams using a punch which has been in the drawer for years.

Floral Card

I bought this Penny Black letters and flowers stamp a while ago and realised it had been sitting around unused - maybe a sign that I have too many stamps?  I used Adirondack dye ink and cut out with a Nestabilities die, inking the edges with the same ink which was also sponged onto the Tim Holtz 'on the edge' die; background paper is by Artylicious; ribbon and sentiment from Stampin Up.

Song of Love

This is another golden anniversary card, this time using stamps from Elusive Images, background paper by Artylicious and a mirri card die cut heart embossed with Sizzix three dots folder and then distressed slightly to tone it down a little. The sentiment was computer generated and cut using a nestabilities die.
