A Bird in the Hand

This is the challenge on Tanda Stamps forum this week and here is my card. There are some on my blog which fit the bill but I did make this today for the challenge using H2Os for the image and also managed to use up some oddments of Cuttlebug embossed card sprayed with Glimmer Mists. There is some reflection on the scan and the peacock looks better on the card itself (too much 'twinkle perhaps')

Something Different

Here is something a little different - some crochet purses which I designed and made for the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal 2009. It has gone a very small way towards reducing my personal 'yarn mountain' and will hopefully bring pleasure to some children.

Blue Rose

I've returned to my Harlequin Rose stamps again for this card; stamped and embossed onto an alcohol inked background using Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder. The flower embellishment didn't quite look right in its original state so I added some blue chalk ink to make it tone with the rest of the card.

Mona Lisa Canvas

I've spent the morning playing around with inks and so on to make another canvas.In reality the background has a little more green but the scan doesn't show it. My first attempt was a bit of a disaster so I had to rescue it to make it look halfway decent.
