Lovely as a Tree

This set of stamps from stampin Up has been on my wish list for ages - at last I have them and this is the first card using them but I'm sure there will be many more as this set will be great for so many occasions. Background paper is also SU with a Nestabilities border. The acorn is from their Touch of Nature set and the greeting is on some Cuttlebug die cuts.

75th Birthday

A friend of mine will be 75 next week and as usual I had a bit of a struggle to come up with something other than footbal or beer for a man's card. As he does quite a bit of gardening I felt that this digi image from Charmed Cards and Crafts would fit the bill. The border strip with sentiment was produced using My Craft Studio. Background paper is from my stash and the numbers were cut using X-cut dies.

Pollycraft Challenge 41

The Monday challenge at Pollycraft this week was to use some hand made flowers so I made this card using a Pollycraft image coloured with Copics and added some hand made roses. The larger flowers are a combination of a stamped flower (My Minds Eye) cut out and with a smaller hand made rose in the centre - the small roses were made using shapes cut with a seven-eights inch 6-petalled punch. Background paper from papermania was overstamped using the same flower stamp. The leaves were punched with the new Stampin Up bird and branch punch.

Jewelled Tree

Today's card has a jewelled tree which was from a stamp set by Kan Ban - stamped in Versamark onto black card and then dusted with mica powders and gems added for a bit of bling. Background paper is from Artylicious (not that you can see much of it) and I put a piece of silver mirri card through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and then distressed it with an emery board and sponged with some black soot Distress ink.

Bird 1

I'm very late blogging today - I've had a workman in laying new flooring in the kitchen and I've also been trying to tidy up my craft room and sort things out. Memo to self - I ought not to buy anything else for AGES!!
This is the first card I've made with the new Stampin Up Bird punch - background paper and border are from a free CD on the cover of the current Creativity magazine by Docrafts. The bird is mounted onto nestabilities and the corners are from a Cuttlebug die. Flowers were made using Xcut punches.

Polkadoodles Challenge 16

The theme for the challenge at Polkadoodles this week is monochrome and I decided to go with blues. Background paper is printed from Touch of Nature CD and I stamped onto the same paper a 'Flutterfly' and some flowers from the Maxine set of clear Fairy Flutterfly stamps (there are six great sets now available and as a clever touch the fairy wings come separately in the form of butterflies) and the sentiment is also from the same set. These were cut out and layered up to give some dimension onto two Nestabilities scalloped circles, one of which was embossed using swirls. I just had to add a few gems!

Bah Humbug Challenge 15

This week's challenge at Bah Humbug is 'pretty in pink' and I must say I had to think a bit to come up with a pink card for Christmas but with a little memory jog from Max I remembered I had some Smirk Christmas papers and stamps left from some bought for last Christmas. I dug them out and this is the card. Stamped image was coloured with Copics and the message was from the same set of stamps both mounted onto nestabilities with some pink gems added
