The challenge for week 4 at Just Magnolia is "In Stitches" - make card incorporating stitching either real or faux. I have drawn faux stitches around the edge of the frame on which Tilda is sitting. She has been coloured using Copic markers.
The theme set by Sue at Tanda Stamps this week is 'Cracking Up' - not literally but to use some crackle effect on a card.
This card has two crackle effects, one made using acrylic paints with a crackle medium and the other is a crackle effect stamp by Hampton Arts. The car is from Tanda Transport set 1 inked with Adirondack dye ink and clear embossed.
The Penny Black challenge this week is to make card using a Penny Black stamp and to include three shapes on the card (not including background). The Penny Black flowers have been coloured with Sakura glitter pens.
I just had to use this digi stamp from Charmed Cards and Crafts and I also made up some flowers to keep her company using a cuttlebug die and Xcut punches - I'm sure she will make someone smile!
My friend Anne told me how to do this reflection technique so just had to have a go using a stamp from Magnolia. Obviously this wouldn't work with all stamps but is something different.
I had a goody bag from Craftwork Cards - excellent value by the way - and have used one of the embossed frames to make this card. The frame has been sponged with chalk ink to show up the embossing and the flower is from a set of flower stamps also from Craftwork Cards. I added some ribbon, swirls and flowers finished off with some gems and a greeting.
