Typography

I do rather like designs based on typography and for this card I've made use of  a stamp which came as part of a magazine giveaway and an embossing folder which I've had for a while.    The panel was a piece of dark green card embossed using a 3D embossing folder, lightly brushed with some gilding wax and mounted onto a piece of gold card.  The typewriter and sentiment were stamped onto a piece of cream card using black ink and clear embossing powder.  This was then fussy cut and popped onto the card.

Using this stamp took me back to many years ago when I first worked in an office - believe it or not this is so reminiscent of the machine I used when learning to touch type when even such things as electric typewriters were but a dream, let alone the electronic devices available these days.  Showing my age here I guess 🤣🤣

Background - paper from a Prima Script pad which I've had a long time (so useful)
Embossing - 3D embossing folder from Sizzix (called typewriter)
Typewriter - stamp from a magazine giveaway set

Hangin' Out!!

A fairly quick card to share today with a bit of ink and a die so nothing complicated.  A swathe of Oxide ink was smooshed across a square of white card and a few extra splatters added.  The fun kitties were die cut and glued in place - a simple computer sentiment and that's me done for this one.  Perfect crafting weather today, wet and dreary - not particularly warm either 🙄.

Creating a Scene!!

Many of you will know that I love to create a scene - not in a disruptive way of course, but in the craft room.  I'd been mulling over ideas in my head for perhaps dressing our favourite bunny up so today he is sitting on a park bench, dressed in his Sunday best jeans and top, enjoying the Spring sunshine.  I thought this card would be great for the current Playground Challenge where there is a great 'makes you smile' card for inspiration and of course the usual lovely prize for a lucky winner.  Everything apart from the card blank and background has been made using bits and pieces from my Snippets collection.  The background was printed from an old MCS CD and after cutting out a piece to fit this card there's some left over for other projects - nothing gets wasted here 😉.  The dies used are from many different sets, some unbranded and some from magazine freebies, quite a mixture, so much so that I'm afraid I was  concentrating on getting everything cut and trying not to lose any of the small dies that I completely forgot to take a picture of the remaining scraps before they were swept into the bin - Sorry.
