For the Love of Animals

Love of animals is the optional theme on the Allsorts challenge #725 . As usual it is anything goes or we can go for various options each week.  These two stamped and coloured  owls were loitering on my desk so I fussy cut them and found some other components to build up a card.  For the extra branches I dug out a really old die - one of the long strip ones with foam on the cutting side which I've had for many years. Things have certainly moved on a long way with dies over the years and I even had to bring an old die cutting machine out of semi retirement to cut these. Lots of lovely animal inspiration from the Allsorts design team and super prizes to be won.

More Clean and Simple

I have another CAS card to share today, this time using up some odd bits and pieces of card left from recent projects.  These 'bits' hadn't even made it into the snippets boxes but were still loitering on my desk. The vase was die cut from a scrap of the glimmer card which I'd  coloured using alcohol inks and the tiny flowers from a small scrap of the Shaving foam experiment - branches were cut from an odd piece of card which was just lying around.  I started with a bit of stencil work as background and to 'ground' the pot.  Sentiment was one produced  on the computer using Word.

Snippets Challenge #452

For my visit to the Snippets Playground I've used another of my spray starch/pigment powders backgrounds  and this time I think the gold veining effect actually shows up on the screen although, as always, it looks better in real life.  There is a link to the video showing this technique on a recent post HERE.  I used a fairly large snippet of white card to die cut the tree and then a selection of quite small white snippets for the fence, flowers and leaves.  The blossom on the tree utilised some 'waste' from a border punch - always save tiny bits of such waste which I think will come in handy 😀.  There is a lovely prize as usual for the lucky person whose name is drawn at the end of the challenge so why not use up some of your snippets and have a go.

Recently I've had quite a lot of very old comments appearing in  my spam folder on Blogger (some from as far back as 2010).  Does anyone know why this is happening and is it also happening to you??  It is easy enough to delete them but is just a bit irritating as well as puzzling 🙄
