Haberdashery

Blue skies and sunshine today for the second day running but yesterday the wind was bitter cold and in the evening there were some heavy showers with hailstones so not really summer yet.   Todays's card is another one made using the Haberdashery and lace stamps from Chocolate Baroque with background paper from Tim Holtz vintage shabby collection. The wings behind the cut out dress form are from CB Punky Romance set and I've just added a few real buttons from my button box with some matching twine.

Make My Monday Week 49

After a lovely sunny weekend the weather has turned grey and wet again, completely scuppering my plans for the morning so what better than to stay in the craft room and make a card for the Make My Monday challenge. We are on a FLORAL theme for May and this week there is the added requirement of some MUSIC although the flower is still to be the main focus.  Background paper is a floral one by Papermania and I've used a Cuttlebug  music embossing folder on some Coredinations card. The flower is a stamp from Chocolate Baroque coloured with Polychromos pencils on watercolour paper and cut out with Nestabilities.  A computer printed greeting on cuttlebug die cuts,  Marianne diecut treble clef and some ribbon were added to complete this card. I have to venture out in the rain shortly to meet some friends for lunch (it's a hard life - LOL!!) but maybe the weather will improve as the day goes on.

K is for Key

This is my tag for the letter K in the Chocolate Baroque alphatags swap.  For the background I crumpled some Tim Holts tissue wrap (composer design) and adhered it to the tag with glue'n'seal, then rubbed some rock candy distress stickles over.  The flower was made from the same tissue.  The stamp for the key came from the Key to My Dreams set by Chocolate Baroque, embossed with silver WOW powder and cut out.  The distressed metallic 'lace' was cut using a Tim Holtz border die and the letter was a plain chipboard one inked and embossed.  Three tags to complete for next month so having various thoughts and ideas of what to do for L, M and N and I will have fun trying out the ideas.

Sunshine two days running has to be good and I managed the mammoth task of mowing the meadows (aka lawns) yesterday but it was such hard work due to not being able to use the mower for such a long time because of the rainy days which of course made the grass and weeds grow at an alarming rate.  Enjoy your weekend and hope the sun is shining where you are too.
