I can hardly believe it is Friday again already but it is so here is my card for Judith's Forgotten Friday challenge. This time the forgotten element is some watercolour paper which I inherited and my Prismalo watercolour pencils which haven't been used for a while either. This paper is very thick and heavily textured and I wasn't sure how it would stamp but it seems to have taken the impression well enough. I originally stamped it and started colouring with Polychromos pencils but I found the result too patchy due to the texture of the paper so I stamped the image again and tried with the watercolour pencils which seem to have worked better. The stamp is a Forever Friends from Papermania and the background paper is some which I had printed ages ago so I'm afraid I can't remember the source but I knew it was somewhere in my stash and thought it would go well with this image. I added a piece of kraft card which has been embossed using a Cuttlebug folder and inked to bring out the pattern. Do pop over to Judith's blog to see her work - she is also guest designer for the Bah Humbug challenge this week and working on that one is my next task.

Build A Poppy

This is my first card using the new Build A Poppy stamp set from Papermania. The elements of the main flower have been stamped in black Versafine and clear embossed, coloured with watercolour pencils and a water brush. Background was stippled and stamped using Brilliance ink. I am aiming to try different ways of colouring and using what I am sure will turn out to be a versatile set of stamps. Apparently more flowers are to follow in the near future. The poppy has been launched to coincide with the Poppy Appeal and £1 from each sale of stamp sets will be sent to the Appeal.

Watercolour Challenge

The Tanda Teaser challenge this week was to use watercolouring on a card. I decided to use their Timmy fisherman stamp which was coloured using watercolour pencils and a water brush.
My son is a keen fisherman so that's his birthday card sorted for this year!

Cute Bird

This jolly bird is another image downloaded from Charmed Cards and Craft and he has been coloured using watercolour pencils and a water brush. I added some card embossed with cuttlebug swiss dots folder and used an Xcut punch for the flowers

Feeling Ruff?

I was introduced to digital stamps/downloadable images by Crafty Butterfly and this amazing dog was one of the images I found at Charmed Cards and Craft. He has been coloured in using watercolour pencils and a water brush. A scalloped border finishes this get well card which should cheer someone up.
