A Valentine

Well a lovely day playing with inks, stamps and so on - how fortunate that I have such a large supply of craft materials as I'm not planning on risking broken limbs on the ice!!

I made this card with one of the Damask Rose stamps from Elusive Images stamped onto mountboard and then sliced up. It was coloured using Inktense pencils and stippled with Adirondack dye ink. The cuttlebug-embossed strip was sprayed with glimmer mists before and after embossing.

A Snowy Morning

Lots of snow around so what better excuse to stay in and craft. I made this box yesterday after seeing one on Stamping Moments blog. The paper I used has apricot coloured roses and the ribbon and card were chosen to tone but unfortunately in the photograph the rose paper appears to be pink which is a shame as it all matches well.

Flower Card

The best thing to do on a snowy Monday must be to craft! Actually we only have a light sprinkling at the moment but any excuse to stay in and 'play'.

This card is made using a new set of stamps from Stampin Up and I'm sure there is lots of mileage in this set.

Another Damask Rose

I love this themeplate from Elusive Images and have just made another card using the large rose with script background. It was stamped onto dark blue card with clear ink and clear embossed, then acrylic paint in silver and pale blue brushed over the whole surface and allowed to dry. Some of the paint was then rubbed off using an alcohol-free baby wipe until it looked 'right'.
