I have another card to share today using one of the stamps from this witty word set combined with another of the crazy birds I stamped and coloured recently. I had a selection of these words already stamped, left over from the first card I made using the set when I stamped the whole thing in several different colours so that I could cut them out and use a different colour for each word. The bird was coloured using pencils and has been layered up with three different circles. Background paper was from my stash and has had a scribbled line drawn around the edges.
Quite a windy day here today and none too warm. Started out with sunshine and blue sky but now it is clouding over and think there is some rain on the way so that will put paid to any outdoor garden visitors.💧💧

A Hoot
Looking through a box of stamps for some inspiration I came across the set which included this quirky owl. I seem to remember that at the time this was a definite 'must have' and to my shame it has probably languished out of sight for longer than I'd like to admit. However I stamped and coloured this one and I must say I was a bit disappointed that the outline is rather thick but nothing to be done about that although I do wish it had been a much finer line. Nevertheless I did enjoy colouring it to while away part of a hot afternoon. Coloured with pencils and then trimmed into a rectangle - had intended using a shaped die but couldn't find one of suitable shape and/or size. When putting the card together I thought it just needed an extra something so I die cut two feathers and added them along with a sentiment from a different stamp set.
Thankfully it seems to be rather cooler today after the wet day we had yesterday - gardens were badly in need of some rain even if it does make the grass grow!!

New Look Blogger
Hopefully this post will appear as it should - just trying out the new face of Blogger to see if I like it. I understand it is possible to revert to the original if all goes pear-shaped so here goes.
For this card I've used a digital image which I downloaded some time ago, cut out and layered using rectangle dies. Background paper was left from some given away with a magazine and the smaller panel is an off-cut from one I printed using a CD. Sentiment stamped and cut out using a couple of banner dies.
Image - Digital download from Sassy Cheryl (I think)
Dies - from Tonic and Creative Expressions
Well I think that was OK - at least composing the message seems to be the same but looking around I notice that the comments section looks different and I'm not sure where to find how to 'approve' of comments before publishing but perhaps that will become evident once I actually have some new comments on the new system. Fingers crossed eh??

Snippets Challenge #379
Quite a lot of snippets used for my Playground challenge card today, mainly snippets of some watercolour paper which I'd coloured recently using Distress inks - there are still a few pieces left so no doubt you will be seeing them before too long. I made a similar floral card to this recently but for this one I decided to die cut a textured area in a scrap of.cream pearl card, backed with a snippet of some designer paper before adding a floral bouquet in a little jar with a bow (all snippets). The sentiment was stamped onto the 5 x 7 base card. There are three opportunities to maybe win a prize this time around - what looks like a very handy item for cleaning stamps.. Do pop along and see the pretty card which Di has made using some floral die cut tape.
