Up in the Air

This is the theme for the Tanda Teaser challenge this week and it immediately made me think of some quirky images on Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion CD. I printed out some background papers and the image, layered them up with some toning card and used a Fiskars border punch to make the scallops. A cuttlebug tag for the message and some decorative corners just finished it off.

Another Monochrome Card

I made this card using up the bits left over from yesterday's monochrome one - I am trying to avoid adding any more scraps to my growing mountain of small pieces of paper and card. The stamps are from a set which were given away free with one of the card magazines last month.

Yesterday the weather deteriorated into hard rain and high winds so what better than to spend an afternoon playing around with inks, stamps and paper!!

Let Your Heart Sing

My copy of Craft Stamper arrived yesterday and I've just had a go at one of the techniques - masking and brayering to make a background. I'm not entirely satisfied with the result but I'm sure I will improve if I keep trying!! I'm off now for a welcome cup of coffee and another look through the magazine to see what else 'grabs me'.

Daisy and Dandelion

This is a quick card (well quick once the decoupage was cut out) - made using a free download from the Docraft website. I don't do a lot of 'cute' but I do like these characters.

Blog Candy

I've just spotted some blog candy on this site Some nice cards here too.

Shoebox Appeal

I spent yesterday evening stitching pins onto the back of knitted flowers to make brooches which I thought would be nice for the older children who receive the shoeboxes at Christmas.
