Floral Tag

I've not posted much for a few days as I've had raging toothache leading to a swollen jaw and chin and believe me the 'Desperate Dan' look isn't good.  Fortunately the antibiotics are kicking in at last and the inflamation is subsiding gradually but I fear another visit to the dentist is on the cards for next week.  Today's offering is a tag which was coloured with a mixture of glimmer mist and Adirondack inks  using the swirl as a mask and with some gold leaf pen around the edge.  The tag and swirl are both Sizzix dies and the flower was made up from an odd one in my box and some punched layers.

Die cut Butterfly

This is another of my samples made to demonstrate the use of the Big shot. A Cuttlebug embossing folder was used on vellum and the butterfly was die cut from some double sided paper from my oddments box(Sizzix Bigz die).  Background paper came from the same box but I think it is by stampin Up.  The vellum was attached with brads. the greeting is a SU stamp on a punched oval.

Busby

No card to show today but a picture of a donkey taken during a relaxing visit to the Donkey Sanctuary yesterday  This particular one had been 'adopted' by one of the people in our party and she had gone especially to see it but forgotten to take her camera so I took a couple of photos for her.  It was a really nice day out and the weather couldn't have been better.

Birdsong

A quick post this morning - I'm giving myself a day off after the two days demonstrating which were great fun but quite tiring.  Tomorrow I will have to put all the 'stuff' back into my craftroom - I've not unpacked it yet!! This card is another of the samples I made using the Big Shot to cut out the shape and the branch with blubirds using Sizzix dies and embossing folder. Background paper is from Artylicious essence of Nature collection and the wording is an Elusive Images stamp.

Bah Humbug challenge 35

The challenge at Bah Humbug this week is to use your favourite medium - that is a difficult one because I have so many favourites which fluctuate from time to time.  I love stamping and playing with inks and nearly all my projects contain something or other produced on the Big Shot - either cutting or embossing  and my machine is out on the bench at my side all the time.  This card uses a new free embossing folder from Papermania and which was given away free on the cover of the current Creatuivity magazine along with a set of clear stamps.  I took a piece of black card and spritzed with copper glimmer mist and once dry put it through the folder to emboss, I then carefully highlighted the embossing with some  copper gilding wax on the tip of a finger to bring out the detail.  Background paper was from a Christmas pad from a couple of years ago and I added some copper ribbon, some more embossed black card using a cuttlebug folder and a greeting on copper mirri card.

Two Busy Days Ahead

I have two busy days ahead demonstrating and a wonderful excuse to play all day and chat to lovely crafty people.  A quick post this morning before I set off - everything packed but the kitchen sink so hope I've not forgotten anything vital.  I will be using my Big Shot and this is one of the cards I made using Tim Holtz tattered flowers die, cutting the flowers from the pages of an old dictionary and colouring them with Glimmer Mists. Background paper is by Artylicious, Nestabilities scalloped square has been embossed with a crafts Too folder and the wording is an elusive Images stamp on another Nesties shape.
