I make a point of trying to catch video tutorials from the talented Eileen Godwin posted on YouTube and I quite often make my own versions of them using stamps which I have in my collection. I must admit there is the ever present temptation to order more stamps but I'm trying to resist 😉😉. One I saw recently was a Christmas wreath card - holly leaf stamp used - but of course if a different stamp were to be used for the leaves I think this would suit other times of the year as well. A wreath isn't just for Christmas. I really enjoy using Lavinia stamps in this way to build up designs - lots of inspiration on YouTube from several members of their design team.
Stamps by Lavinia
Gel Pens and stencil used as well
Beautiful card Val, great design. As you know, I love Lavinia stamps. There are still a lot on my wish list. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Val,
ReplyDeleteoh I love this wreath card it's soooooooooooo gorgeous and the colours used makes it look so very stunning too.
Love the stamps used and I wouldn't think of using those colours with the Holly Stamp so thank you for the inspiration of this card.

Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Love this Val. x
ReplyDeleteI think I saw that post. Eileen is always fabulous. She is one of the first crafters I ever followed. Your wreath is beautiful. Love that bit of stencilling in the background and the colours you've used and now I want a cat stamp.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I still have piles of stuff which I will probably end up putting back 😂 Must be strong. x
Just beautiful Val, love the colours and how you created a branch for the cat to sit xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card Val. I love watching Eileens Videos too and have been lucky enough to have joined in a some of her monthly workshops in the past too.

Super card. Love Eileen and her artwork - she's such a lovely lady. xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card Val, and the little holly leaves in the two soft and pretty colours make a wonderful frame for your sweet little silhouette cat, and I love the way you have extended the leaves across it as a place for it to sit, and the softly added colour and bit of stencilling is just perfect..who wouldn't just adore to receive this beauty! x
