The weeks certainly seem to come around quickly and it is time for a new challenge in the Snippets Playground. I've made a DL card this time and everything apart from the card blank has been 'found' in my various snippets collections. The background paper was a left over snippet from a paper give-away which came with a magazine and the frame was cut from a snippet of cream card. The watch was stamped and gold embossed on a scrap before fussy cutting and the selection of cogs die cut from small snippets of brown and kraft card with the addition of some gold gilding wax. Finally a sentiment was die cut from yet another snippet of gold pearl card. Some over stamping was added to the background paper which was fairly plain to start with.
Frame - dies from Phill Martin set
Cogs - die set from X-cut which I've had for a long time (so useful)
Stamping - various free stamps (magazine give-aways)
Brilliant masculine card Val

ReplyDeleteLove this card which is suitable for the male of the species! Tempus fugit when you're in the Playground playing on the swings! xxx
ReplyDeleteCogs are always fun to use and a great match with the watch. Great work on the background too. x
ReplyDeleteI must keep a lookout for those cogs as I don't have any dies with those and these are such a great mix and perfect for a masculine card Val, and I love the background paper and pretty frame and the added gold embossed pocket watch which looks great and what great use of your snippets. x
ReplyDeleteWow Val, I love this card - so perfect for a 'chap'. The fob watch is a perfect finishing touch and goes so well with the gilded cogs.
