Flowers

Flowers are always popular and this is another card for my growing collection - can't stop producing cards and at least making them is something I enjoy and it helps to keep my hands and mind occupied during lockdown.  Seems to have been going on forever but hopefully with the vaccination programme there is some light at the end of the tunnel, although I'm sure we will still need to be very cautious for quite a while.

I started by stamping the flower onto snippets of coloured card using matching inks, also repeated for the leaves; Embossed a square of white card and found a scrap of green designer paper to fit across the centre.  Used a couple of dies to cut the border strip from more snippets and stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of white card. Rearranged the components a few times until they looked right and then stuck everything in place using some thin foam pads for the flower and sentiment. A few gems were added as a final touch.

There is a slight variation to the Snippets Challenge this time around - do pop along to read the interesting post which explains it all beautifully

Embossing Folder - roses from Crafter's Companion
Flower Stamp - from Art Gallery set with matching dies Stampin' Up
Border - dies from Creative Expressions Lavish Swirl (Sue Wilson)
Fern Leaf - Die cut left over from another project
Sentiment - from a freebie set
Designer Paper strip - Stampin' Up
Colours used - Pale Plum and Perfect Plum inks Stampin' Up (pale plum card snippets)
