Popping into the Playground

I normally make a card specifically for the Pixies Snippets challenge but this time I hope I will be forgiven for popping in Blue Peter style (here's one I made earlier)!!  Luckily many of my cards are made using plenty of snippets!  The reason I'm all behind at present is because since last weekend I've been very under the weather (no pun intended) due to a random person very generously giving me some of their germs resulting in lots of sneezing, nose running like a tap, nicely followed up with a cough - too much information I guess.  I ought not to complain because I know that I've certainly not had so much as a sniffle for at least ten years so maybe it was my turn but, given a choice, I would happily of passed on this 'donation' especially at this busy time of year.

Anyway on to the card which I made fairly recently and happens to be another Christmas one, this time using more freebie dies - the penguins and fish - along with stamps from my collection.  The top of the card was brushed with blue for the sky, trees stamped and glittered with a snippet of card cur with a curved stitch hills die for the foreground.  Penguins were die cut from scraps and a stamped greeting added.  I backed the penguin with a smaller scrap of card which of course doesn't show and  the snowflakes  were popped into the apertures after assembly.

Penguins - dies given free with magazine
Trees - Creative Expressions stamp, as is the greeting
Foreground - stitched hills die Lawn Fawn I think

  2. Oh this is adorable Val! Those dies are super - so cute. Hope you're well on the way to feeling 100% again - don't you just love folk who pass on their germs, sigh.
