There is a story to this card which I made especially in time for my son's birthday which was on Thursday. Card was duly put into the post early on Tuesday morning with a first class large stamp ~ it only had to travel a few miles within the county. I was annoyed and disappointed that it hadn't arrived on the correct day and in fact he only received it this morning (Saturday) - four days to travel a short distance from one town to the next!! It appears that postage charges keep rising and service diminishes - sorry rant over but it does make me cross. I was beginning to think I'd have to text him a photo of it instead.
Anyway to the card - image came from a Just Inklined CD - you might guess he is a keen photographer. Other details are below.
Background - paper from a Papermania pad from a few years back
Embossed panel - Tim Holtz folder on scrap of card
Sentiment - from computer on stamped and punched label (Stampin' Up)
Image- Just Inklined cut out with Spellbinders die
Great card Val and so pleased it arrived in the end...just love the image and so apt for your son...great colours and love the embossed background...

Such a wonderful card Val, I love the digi image just right for the keen photographer. I know just what you mean about the postage, it's getting worse and worse.

Wonderful card Val and so apt for your son. I always have to send anything to Karen days early as it takes forever to get to her!

This is a gorgeous card, Val! Beautiful colouring. I share your annoyance with the post. A crafty friend posted two items out at the same time - the one going to Scotland arrived the next day, but the one going just 8 miles down the road took nearly two weeks!
ReplyDeletelovely Val - glad it did arrive in the end - funny how the large cards always seem to take forever and a day to get there, despite then exorbitant cost!
ReplyDeleteGreat image, love the card.
ReplyDeleteIt is a shame that we can receive things quicker from overseas sometimes!
