House of Cards May Challenge 1

Over at the House of Cards we've been given a picture and/or colour scheme as inspiration for the first May challenge - I opted to use the colours.  It seems they are also in a purple/mauve mode and of course I had some scraps of purple card left from yesterday's card so just had to use them up.

I've chosen one of the images from the Crazy Cats CD and the final result is sort of cute/fun meets shabby/vintage either of which are the themes for this fortnight.  I thought this pair would be suitable for an Anniversary or Engagement card so I simply added a Congratulations sentiment. The image was layered onto two die cut shapes and some cotton lace was used as a border with the sentiment.

Circle - Nellie die
Cream label - Sizzix for Stampin' Up Deco label
Embossing - Cuttlebug folder
Corners - Whimsy dies
Sentiment - Spellbinders fancy tag die with SU punch for computer sentiment

  4. Definitely fun for an anniversary! Not sure how the birds in the inspirational pic would react to those cats though……. made me chuckle.
