I've missed this challenge for quite a while but always take a look and would you believe when I saw it today I had almost finished making a card using just this colour scheme. It came about because I wanted to do something using micro beads - I bought a pot in a fit of enthusiasm some time last year and it hadn't even been opened until today. I stamped some swirls onto card, applied double sided adhesive sheet and then the micro beads; found some matching purple card which was punched to match the die cut shape in the centre; stamped a greeting and added a bow and that's how the card evolved from my first experiment with micro beads.
Stamps - Creative Expressions and Stampin' Up
Die set with matching punch - Tonic Diamond swing
Greeting - Spellbinder ovals dies
Wow Val, that background with the micro beads is stunning. I've bought a pot of these beads too, and not used them yet. Maybe we should get Judith to bring back Forgotton Friday just to use all the things we buy and don't use.

Hi Val Just having a quick coffee before taking the dog for a walk and then on up to visit Hubby in hospital. Glad I dropped in to see this lovely card. I have a thing going on with purples/mauves at the moment so it ticks the right boxes. I love the effect of the micro beads (I too have some tucked away somewhere, what a surprise, eh?).
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Bank Holiday Monday.

A very simple card that works so well - micro beads were something else I unearthed, used once then forgotten, will have to have another go before i lose them again!
ReplyDeleteLovely card Val the micro bead background is gorgeous. I keep seeing Sue Wilson using them but I haven't succumbed yet!! The lacy border is very pretty.

What caught my eye is the way your top & bottom horizontal borders echo the oval border around the sentiment & those little shapes are found on your swirls too. White & purple are always classy.
