This title is of course the name of a stamp set from Stampin' Up and I've used one of the stamps for this card. It was stamped twice and sections were cut out with a square die and popped onto punched 'postage stamp' shapes which were then laid over the original. Scraps of card were used to cut out the framework strip and banners for the sentiment. It occurred to me that this would probably fit in with the Pixie's Snippet Challenge so will enter it this week - it certainly has a few snippets included.
Such a lovely card Val, and a great one if you wanted to drop someone a little note.

That's a very interesting technique with the 'postage stamp' frames. Your die-cut trellis looks brilliant with the way it echoes the patterned background paper too.

Love the layered stamping, think I've worked out how you did it - ingenious! I'll be 'borrowing' that idea. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Val......I love the idea of using snippets and you have certainly been on the ball with this one. TFS and hugs Annie x

ReplyDeleteHi Val, so nice to meet you after seeing your pretty card highlighted over at the Snippets Playground. It's lovely to meet new people, and I just became your newest follower! I was interested in reading that you've recently taken up zentangles, so will be checking out that blog too. I've not done one yet, but keep procrastinating with my supplies. I loved what you did with this tree stamp, and making the inchies to set atop the trees. The side trim is lovely as well. Hope you will enjoy being a Playmate at the Playground (where I've been MIA for some weeks, but hope to do better now). Looking forward to getting to enjoy your lovely cards again. TFS & Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHi Val, your card is lovely. I like the choice of papers - they compliment the trees so well. Elizabeth xx
