We are into the second week of the House of Cards challenge for September which means it is still with the same colour scheme but this time in the CLEAN AND SIMPLE style. My regular followers will know that this style isn't a favourite of mine but I do like to rise to the challenge! I used a linen textured square card and having cut a mask from paper using a Sizzix die (Stampin' Up) I brushed three of the colours through the aperture and then stamped a SU floral stamp in the darkest purple, adding a little butterfly for interest and balance. The sentiment is die cut from matching card. I'm off now, back into my comfort zone!!
Beatifully effective with the way you've used the darkest colour for the images & I love the way that butterfly is flying out of inked panel.

Love how you have achieved this , I cannot do this style for toffee! Well done you, looks great hugs trace x
ReplyDeleteVal, one would never think you are out of your comfort zone with this one, it is stunning!! Love how you added those subtle colours through the die cut shape and the purple silhouette stamping against it is so beautiful!! Love the butterfly over the edge! A seriously gorgeous card and I for one think you should do this more often if this is what you come up with!!
ReplyDeleteI apologize for having been AWOL with commenting, hope to do better again from now on.....
