We are now into the second month of our Alphatags swap with the Chocolate Baroque Guild and this time it is C and D so not too difficult to find something to fit the bill. The main problem for me was deciding between the various ideas I'd jotted down - not too hot on decision making!! I eventually settled on 'cogs and clocks' for C so ran the tag through the Big Shot with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then brushed on some Distress ink and Treasure Gold to highlight the pattern. The clock was cut out using a Tim Holtz Sizzix die, with parts embossed using WOW gold embossing powder. The harlequin paper is from Tim Holtz vintage shabby collection and a clock charm was added. I do hope it doesn't matter that the clock extends slightly beyond the edges of the tag. With a bit of luck I might have my D offering to show tomorrow as they need to be posted off soon.
Val this is absolutely stunning! Love the colour and embossing. Sorry if I've missed a couple of your posts it's been a manic week and I haven't managed to comment on everything:)

I know what you mean about the decision making - busy working on my C too & absolutely love your one with that gold, pink & ruby. Those little embellishments are a dream too.
ReplyDeleteThis is such fun & I love that we can blog them & isn't the new Group Fantastic??

This is gorgeous Val. Love the colours you've gone for, it makes it girly. We've still got snow, although the roads and footpaths are clear. Lucky you not getting any, Im sure that it's just as cold though.

Gorgeous tag Val. I chose the same theme as you! Really enjoying these challenges. Must make a start on the next ones now! Sandra
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tag Val, I'm sure it won't matter that the clock is a little larger than the tag. Yes I must get mine in the post this week

lovely idea Val, never thought of clocks! Great minds think alike, just scanned my two last night, so they will be in the post Monday - waiting to see what you have done for D now.....
ReplyDeleteFantastic Val! What a fab idea. I did think of clocks but not of cogs though heaven knows why. Still don't know what I'm doing for mine and think they'll get there at the last minute this month.
