I didn't think I'd get around to making a card for Judith's Forgotten Friday challenge today but then the postman arrived after lunch with a new Go Kreate die set which I'd ordered so I just had to drop everything and have a go with it. The dies cut a whole shaped card and will work in the smaller machines like the Cuttlebug and Big Shot. With the smaller dies in the set I cut out a frame using some Stampin Up background paper and then stamped a message and some little leaf swirls onto a matching piece of plain card to go behind the aperture. I added a little stamped dragonfly, a flower and a leaf spray cut using Marianne dies.
Where is the connection here to Forgotten Friday you ask - well the stamped sentiment is from an unmounted set of birthday messages (by Chocolate Baroque) and I'm sure I've not used this actual one before although I've had them since they were issued some time ago. The leafy swirl is a small stamp from another CB set and I know I've not used that one before either ~ I am trying to look through my stamp collection regularly to remind myself of the ones which I've been neglecting.
Hi Val, thanks for joining in my challenge again this week. I love Go Kreate dies, I'm slowly building up my stash, like I need any more stash!! I really like the colours you have used here, purple is a favourite of mine. Those CB sentiments are so useful. Judith xx

What a lovely card Val. I think that the sentiment stamps get neglected sometimes, as it's so easy to create something on the pc. I've not got any Go Create Dies, but I think I will have to check them out.
