I see it's a week since I last posted anything here but one way and another it has been a frustrating week. Following on from recently losing both my land line and broadband for nearly a week, leaving me with lots of catching up to do, I seem to have had various problems - why oh why is it so difficult to speak to a real person when phoning to untangle things or make appointments which seem to be like hens' teeth🙄. Life just seems to get more and more complicated - or maybe it is just me getting old but I don't think so.
Anyway I have a stamped card made fairly recently to share today. I started with a Gelli plate background and built up the scene with a selection of stamps, finally adding some second generation words around the edge just to give a bit of extra texture along with some light inking.
Very cold weather at present but maybe a good excuse to head for the craft room - keep warm everyone.
Stamps - all from Lavinia
I started my working life as a telephonist so speaking to a real life person is important to me too Val. I hate having to go through wasted minutes listening to recorded messages before getting to where I need to be. Such a beautiful card and a wonderful background that you've created.

So sorry to hear you have been having trouble with your phone line and broadband Val, but hope it remains fixed for you. I know how frustrating it is not to be able to talk to someone and the amount of time you are left hanging on waiting. Your card is another fabulous piece of scene building in the central masked circle area, and the repeat script stamping makes a wonderful background also the pink, blue and purple colours are delightful. x
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful, gorgeous colours for the wonderful Lavinia stamps. Hopefully this calmed you down. Yes I'm sure it is getting more complicated and definitely harder to speak to a person. I hope you get it all sorted soon and have a more peaceful week. x
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful card Val, and I empathise with trying to speak to a human being, listening to endless messages, told numerous times you can do this that and the other online, and appointments as rare as hens teeth! Rant over, hope you stay connected and keep warm xxx
ReplyDeleteYes, life sure can be difficult- sorry to hear you’ve had more problems this week.
ReplyDeleteYou’ve made a beautiful card - quite magical with the lovely gelli plate backdrop. X
This is so beautiful. Your gelli print is amazing and it gives it an art nouveau feel with the colours used. Sorry about your tech problems, sometimes modern tech seems to make more problems than solve them.
