I had a session cutting out quite a pile of small die cut leaves and plant containers and believe me it took some time and of course I then had to assemble them before they could be used to put a card together. I've used two different embossing folders, one for the finer detailed 'wall' behind the actual plants and one with larger detail as a general background, both cream card sponged with ink to bring out the detail. All this certainly helped to while away most of an afternoon - time flies when you're having fun 😉😉

Wow Val, what a brilliant idea and card as the result of your labours. Love it. Sitting in the side garden at the minute overseeing the front garden project which is a total revamp of the garden and driveway. The little digger has just turned up and they are starting with getting up the old concrete driveway. It is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteHi Val
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant! But as you say I am sure it was quite time consuming .. .. but at the same time satisfying to create.
A great finished look and suitable for men or women!
A great finished look.
Thank you for your comment on my Christmas Card.
I got to work with that die set a couple of years ago for a magazine commission. Sadly I had to return the dies and stamps along with my finished projects (after cutting a few to keep for myself). I enjoyed using them so much though that I have been stalking Ebay for a set of my own. So pleased I now own my own set!
I managed to get my hands on another Stampin Up! set at the weekend that I have been after for ages .. .. "Beautiful You!" hopefully the postman will be super speedy. Thank goodness for Ebay! LOL!!
Hope your week is going well.
Love Jules xx
A beautiful card Val, it must have taken you ages to put all those leaves in the right places.

Great card Val love how you've used the window die as a shelf...sometimes its well worth the effort using fussy dies as the end result is lovely...

I bet that did take quite a while to die cut everything too! Lovely result though.

Love the background. The plants look great too, well worth more fiddling!
