Shades of blue on today's card which is a floral birthday one. Self explanatory really with a mixture of stamping and die cutting to make this arrangement. The layout is based on a recent new sketch from Jules although I've turned it around a little and used it for a square card whereas hers was designed for a rectangle. Some kraft card elements have been added because I felt what I did originally was a bit too 'blue' and needed a touch of contrast. I always gather my components together and have a 'dry run' before I finally stick anything down.
Vases and Flowers and Background - Boho Indigo suite from Stampin' Up
Sentiment - download from Netty's Cards, resized to fit a punch
Die cut shapes - Stitched so Sweetly Stampin' Up
Kraft panel - embossed using a Cuttlebug embossing folder
Beautiful card and like that layout!

I love the tone of blue that you've used for this gorgeus card Val.

Good morning Val
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card .. .. love all the blue tones alongside your kraft card.
Pleased you are finding my sketches useful. I must admit I find it easier to turn a rectangle sketch into a square one than I do to turn a square into a rectangle.
I know what you mean about a week flying by .. .. but I can tell where mine went because of the trail of chaos I have left behind me. Today is starting with a good clear-up .. .. before I start again.
Lovely sunshine to spur me on too! Hope you have the same.
Love Jules xx
The contrast works really well, a great card.
