Snippets Challenge #372

I've realised that I seem to have missed the previous challenge - not quite sure how it happened, a senior moment maybe!!  Anyway I have a  card to take along to the Playground for the current one.  This was made using up bits and pieces which were lying around left over from recent projects.  I do try to clear up my working space when it shrinks too much but these bits hadn't even made it into the 'store' of snippets.  The ovals were cut out from a scrap of text paper (quite heavy weight, almost card) and then the flower silhouettes were stamped in black.  A larger snippet was about the right size to fit onto my normal card blank and some over-stamping was done using a text stamp. The piece of brown card was run through an embossing folder for a  bit of texture and a narrow snippet of the same card was used to die cut the sentiment.  Do pop along to the Playground to see the adorable Easter card which Di has made to showcase the great prize on offer for a lucky winner.

Stamps - an old set of Stampin' Up stamps Silhouette Sentiments
Embossing Folder - Hessian texture from Embossalicious
Sentiment - Source forgotten, sorry
Text Stamp - set from Phill Martin

  2. I love how this card came together. It makes a change to see a brown/cream sympathy card rather than black. I like the little SU flowers you used in the ovals.

Flipping cold today . . . but there's things to share from my satchel that will warm you up. Come and find me in my usual spot, hiding from Miss Di.

  4. I'm with Sarn - so lovely to see cream and brown on a Sympathy card. I think I might have those dear little SU flower stamps - they look super on top of the script.

I did miss you in the last challenge week - just glad all is well.

    Hugs

  5. Ps Val, I'm like you, don't make Easter cards as a rule apart from just one or two for very close friends.

  6. Hi Val,
    such a great snippets design.
Beautiful oveal images and that embossing reminds of bars of chocolate.

  9. Hi Val

A lovely colour combination and sweet little stamps .. .. just perfect for those cards none of us want to make.

You made me smile when you wrote about "clearing your space when it shrinks too much". I am guilty of that too! So I have a good tidy up and feel like I have a massive desk and workspace .. .. but it never lasts long! LOL!!

Hope you are OK Val and the weather isn't giving you problems.

    Enjoy your weekend.

    Love Jules xx
