Male Cards

I know many people struggle to make cards for men - I don't mind doing them because I have lots of suitable stamps in my collection but I often find that I've been making a run of more feminine cards so I've produced a few male themed ones to balance things out a bit.  This is one of them and I've used a motorbike  which was part of a set of transport stamps which I've had for longer than I care to remember (the company is no longer in business). I found a piece of striped paper in my stash, stamped the image onto watercolour paper and sponged the edges.  A scrap of black card was embossed and highlighted with gilding wax - sentiment added on a banner and that's it -  a relatively simple male card.

  4. Hi Val

A great male card. Love the image and the cogs are the perfect finishing touch. My brother loves motorbikes and I had to resort to a digi image of an old Norton this year as he has exhausted my motorbike stamp collection. But having said that he loved it.

Many thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. Yes we are proud of our son .. .. but then we always have been .. .. not just of him but both of our lads. We have been very lucky with what we produced LOL!!

Have a good bank holiday weekend when it arrives Val.

    Love Jules xx

  6. Very far from simples looking. The motorbike image looks perfect against the cogs and wheels. I do believe I even have some of that very same design paper too in my stash. Hugs Mrs A.

  7. Hi Val, thanks for joining me on my blog. Love the cards you make and this one is another winner for me! Isn't it nice when you can still used 'old favourites' from your stash - I think the vintage theme and sepia on this card work so well together. x
