Still into Bag Production!

Last Thursday I spotted a 'quick and easy' bag on Debbie Shore's sewing programme at Hochanda. It is called a Hippie Hobo Bag and is a soft slouchy style with ties for fastening and also for the handles which means of course that the length can be adjusted easily.  The ties can be either fastened onto metal or plastic rings (as here) or could simply be knotted together.  The fabric used is from a charity shop curtain and luckily I had some plain pink cotton for the lining to match the roses.  The lining is longer than the actual bag so that it forms a border around the top edge and I also added a floral pocket on the inside.

  1. What a great idea to use old curtains - it looks great and how clever to use the ties to increase/decrease the length.

A great bag and gorgeous fabric. Who would have thought it once used to be a curtain. I love it!

Love how the lining creates a border.

Hope you have had a good week and enjoy the weekend once it arrives!

    Love Jules xx

  6. Hi Norm here. Do you know the best bit about our wash day is that Mrs A. irons it all for us as she doesn't trust us with the iron. Hugs Norm.
