This is a card made as a demonstration sample last month when I was using embossing powders and inks. The background was a piece of white card sponged using Distress inks and with some over-stamping. The puzzle piece was from a charity shop buy (child's large piece puzzle) - a piece had some gesso applied to cover up the bright coloured picture; this was then coloured with DI and stamped with a leafy design before being triple embossed using clear UTEE. I hope the person who receives this doesn't think the words are badly stamped - the actual stamp has this grungy effect!!
I hope the weather is good where you are because here it is grey and wet which makes me really pleased that I forced myself to mow the lawns yesterday - almost a hay making job as the grass had grown so long.
Background - Distress inks
Stamps - freebies given with a magazine
Nice bright colours for a grey morning, love what you've done with the jigsaw piece.

Love your large jig saw piece. I have looked several times in my local charity shop but they have only had ones with small pieces! Hugs Mrs A.

lovely Val - will have to dig out the old jigsaw i bought years ago and the ultra thick powder I haven't used for years - sometime when i have time to look for them! It is good to be reminded of what we used to do, I think we all get hooked on the new craze and forget the older techniques!
ReplyDeleteHi Val, I'm doing a blog hop this morning now I'm finally getting my head back in the right place after the past few months. I notice it's over 2 weeks since this post which is unusual for you I think so I do hope you are ok and all is well with your world.
ReplyDeleteLove how you used the jigsaw piece on this lovely card. Very pretty colourse too! I know what you mean about the grungy font, lol, but it is one of my favourites.
Hugs
