Hydrangea - Again!

We are still following the sketch this month at House of Cards and this week the style is CLASSIC and ELEGANT.  I've used my favourite hydrangea stamp (well one of them anyway) and this time stamped and embossed in white on white, coloured with distress marker pens. The actual layout was fairly straightforward following the sketch but it took me a bit of time to sort out toning pieces of card and paper from my scraps boxes which don't seem to have diminished much despite my efforts to use them up.

Flower and butterfly stamps - Stampin' Up
Spellbinder dies
Various SU punches
Background paper - Tim Holtz vintage shabby

  1. I love hydrangeas so not surprised to see you do too!
The colours are lovely here & definitely in the classy category. I particularly like your addition of those butterflies either side of the image panel & the lovely shaping of the latter with the die-cutting.

  6. This is gorgeous Val. Love your choice of colours and love that stamp as well! That's a very pretty Spellbinder die, not one I recognise though. I think scrap boxes are a bit like coat hangers - they multiply when you're not looking! lol
