Pretty Flowers

The stamp used here is one of a set of freebies given away with a recent magazine and I do try hard to resist buying these but every now and then the stamps look so useful that I succumb. This card was made up using bits and pieces of paper and card mainly from the scraps boxes; sentiment was a wood mounted stamp from ages ago and the butterflies were stamped and punched using a set from Stampin' Up which came my way at a wonderful Extravaganza day. Border strip is an EK Success punch.  These designs are so easy to colour (I used alcohol pens) so good for quick and easy cards.

I'm planning a quiet day in the craft room today - nothing too strenuous as I'm all aches and pains after having had a little mishap yesterday when I tripped on an uneven pavement and landed flat on my face - my chin seems to have come off worst.  Believe me purple Desperate Dan is not a good look and also my ribs are feeling very sore on one side - probably landed on my handbag which I carry over that shoulder!!  Fortunately there was no one around to witness my stupidity so I picked myself up and carried on.

  4. A beautiful card Val, and great use of that scrap box of your's. I hope you're not feeling to sore today, and recovering from you're fall. My Mum swears by Arnica tablets, which are designed to bring the bruising out.

  5. Oooh Val, reading your post made me wince (did the same thing many years ago)! I hope the aches and pains ease off quickly.

As for the card, it's so pretty! I remember seeing these pretty stamps but did manage to resist, lol! You've teamed the stamps with the lovely papers perfectly.

  6. Uh - seem to have lost my comment that was here a moment ago. I hope you recover quickly from the aches & manage to have a good rest today. Your butterflies are rather super with this & I love the pink & white contrast they create. The papers are a perfect match for that image too.

  8. A gorgeous gentle card Val, so unlike the Spring we are having. I like your layering very much, must work on mine again. As one tumbler to another do take care and recover quickly. My bruises are well on their way to fading now. I did once tumble in Tesco picking up a pack of potatoes, I did get quite a few looks I can tell you. Sending hugs. xx Flora

A very pretty card - I actually didn't buy the magazine this time - I'm sure the willpower won't last for many though!
