Another week has just rushed by and it is time for the Bah Humbug challenge again - this week they are asking for flourishes and swirls. The background paper is from Artylicious Seasons Greetings (now Chocolate Baroque) and has a lovely swirly pattern although you can't see much of it, the swirly main image is the Papermania large bauble stamp (this time using a resist technique) and I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder with swirls on a piece of Tim Holtz whitewash card and sanded it to show up the pattern. Finally I added a poinsettia made from the same card and a flourish made using a Marianne die.
I hope Judith will accept this card for Forgotten Friday this week - the Papermania stamp came out of 'retirement' only last week. I acquired it early this year because it disappeared off the shelves so quickly before Christmas last year I didn't get it in time to use then so it has been resting with my seasonal stamps ever since.
beautiful card Val, love the colours. Hope you get the CD sorted. Sandra

ReplyDeleteSuper colours on this - that stamp is very interesting indeed & I like the way you created different textures with the embossing & the poinsettia.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good weekend.

A beautiful card Val. I love the colours, a real change from the traditional. I looked at this stamp set while I was away, managed not to buy it, but maybe I'll have to have another look.

Hi Val, I finally found your card! It's a beauty, and in my favourite colour too. I really like this stamp, and Christmas stamps always qualify for Forgotten Friday, as we neglect them for most of the year. Thanks for joining in again this week, Judith xx
ReplyDeleteWow - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, Val! The stamp is beautiful and the whitewash on the embossing folder is very effective. Thanks for joining us at Bah! Humbug! this week.
