Using Up Leftovers
While having one of my fairly regular tidy-ups of the work space I came across the papers I printed out for the Funky Hand challenge this month where we had a recipe to follow. Rather than store them away in my oddments box which is getting full to overflowing I decided to make another card using the same three background papers. The base card was cut using a Go Kreate die, using the smaller dies in the set for the layers. The flowers were stamped onto the papers and cut out, adding buttons and pearls to the centres. The sentiment was produced on the computer, cut out with a 'Nestie' and popped onto a Cuttlebug diecut flower shape. Following the recipe I added a ribbon and that's it with another piece of the spotted freebie paper cut out with the Go Kreate die for an insert which I've stuck inside the card.

Lovely card - I hope you don't mind me following you from another blog where you said you had not heard of tea cards. I was responsible for that choice. Tea cards are something we used to do on a Yahoo group I was once on and then swap them - you can find out more information about them (they were like cigarette cards to look at - and collectable) if you go to the blurb on Just for Fun http://jffchallenge.blogspot.com - Hugs, Neet
ReplyDeleteHi Val, a lovely card. It's just proves why us crafters don't throw anything away, they always come in useful. Also make brilliant cards. Thanks for visiting me. Hugs x ChrisB
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card, love the shape. And to think that it nearly ended up in the scrap box. Think I'll have to see what I can find in mine.
