This is the second week of Judith's Forgotten Friday idea and this week I have used paper piecing on the flowers (this is a technique I've not used for quite a while) and to do this I've used some background papers from a My Craft Studio CD. I'm afraid I tend to do what I expect many of us do - buy the CDs, look at the images when they first arrive and 'oh and ah' over them, then put the CD away where it stays on the shelf unused for ages. These papers are from Flowers and Faux Finishes and the image is a digi stamp from Pollycraft which I simply printed out onto the background papers and then cut out the flowers to piece onto the original which has been coloured with Copic pens. The tiny butterflies were an Xcut punch which has also been neglected recently. Could this all be a sign that I may well have too much 'stuff' in my craft room???
This is such a pretty card, the paper piecing is really cheerful. I'm like you, I have a couple of those particular CDs that sit unused. I love the little butterflies, they are in my favourite colour. Thank you for joining in my 'Forgotten Friday' post, Judith xx
ReplyDeleteLovely fresh, pretty card! I like the ribbon label very much. Thinking about it I could probably do an entry (no spare time at the moment) just using my Nesties and punches many of which have never been used.

Yes Val - I'm afraid it does mean you have too much "stuff" in your craft room; but don't we all!!! lol Great card with bright cheery colours. Haven't had time to join in this particular challenge but hope to soon.
ReplyDeleteI too very rarely use MCS but I do sometimes look!.. & thats all.. I'm not buying any more!
ReplyDeleteLove the card... Might have to look at MCS again :)
