Free Stamp

I have to confess to buying yet another 'samey' magazine just because they were giving away a really nice daisy embossing folder and a stamp which I've used to make this quick card.  The bear was stamped onto a scrap of watercolour paper and coloured with Promarkers and pencils - a nice touch is that the sentiment is part of the stamp but of course it could always be cut apart and used separately.  The embossed piece was sponged with distress ink and I simply added a strip of patterned paper and a fancy die cut border.

I must try to stay away from the magazine section when visiting the newsagent because I am so easily tempted!!

Labels - Deco labels from Stampin' Up
Background - free daisy embossing folder 6" square
Distress ink - Spun Sugar
Promarkers and coloured pencils
Border Die - Cheery Lynne

  1. know how you feel - I succumbed to a mag with free Indigo Blu stamps last week - couldn't resist! He's a cute bear though, and beautifully coloured

  2. I can understand why you bought the mag Val he's so adorable and love the embossin folder too....a bargain I would say...

  3. Another great card made with a lovely freebie. I have to keep away from the magazines otherwise I spend far to much buying them for the freebies

  5. I understand just what you mean Val, I think we're all suckers for a freebie. The embossing folder has made a gorgeous card and obviously a great buy.

  6. He looks rather fine with his bunch of daisies perfectly matched with the embossing folder, it's pencils & watercolouring media that catch me out………………

  7. Lol! Make another card Val and that's covered the cost of the mag and you still have the stamp and folder as an additional bonus! This one is lovely by the way. I know exactly what you mean about the magazine section at the supermarket though. I saw this one and was tempted mainly by the folder but was a good girl for a change ;D!
