A Quick Card

I've actually managed to get around to making a quick card today using an image from Hobby House Designs.  Background paper is from my stash and the image has been popped onto a die cut shape from Creative Expressions - Californian collection by Sue Wilson.  A Tonic punch was used to make a border with a ribbon bow; sentiment printed from the computer and put onto the smallest die in the set - also used a couple of the 'waste' flowers from the punched strip.  We've actually had two days with lovely blue skies and sunshine, albeit with a couple of showers yesterday, but it certainly feels as if we are coming out of the really depressing and wet weather - fingers crossed!!

  2. This is so gorgeous Val, it does not look like a quick card at all. I've really enjoyed the weather the last couple of days, today has been very mild here. Lets hope that it stays for a while, we could certainly do with it.

  3. Super the way the white lacy border stands out against the patterned paper & helps draw the eye to the image & sentiment panels. I like your use of the waste to decorate the sentiment too.
We're about to be hit by another wet & windy storm - roll on Easter!

  8. Aw, this is such a sweet card Val. Beautiful colours which compliment the image perfectly. Love the die cut shape.....I dare not look at any more new ones as I don't use the ones I have not nearly enough. What a waste of fabulous tools!

We had a glorious day here yesterday albeit a bit on the breezy side but for the first time in months I managed to hang washing outside to dry. It was mild too but today has taken a dive again, having been dull all day and very windy and cold. I do so hope spring is here very soon to cheer us all up.

    Hugs
