Bah Humbug Challenge 14

The challenge at Bah Humbug this week is 'Santa Paws' and I've used a seasonal cat stamp which came as part of a grab bag of unmounted stamp many years ago so no idea who designed it. I am really fond of this stamp and use it often and it is also a good size so it works well on shrink plastic too which is handy sometimes. This time I've just coloured it with Copic pens and cut it out with a Nestabilities die, background papers are from a pad which I've also had some time and has lost its cover but I think it was from Papermania. The fur details on the hat were decorated with Glamour Dust but I'm not sure this shows up too well in the picture.

New Home

I realised that I had no New Home cards in my box so I have made a couple. For this one the background paper is from Stampin Up, image used stamps from their Good Neighbours set on scalloped ovals Nestabilities. A Cuttlebug daisies embossing folder was used on the card panel and the computer generated sentiment is on SU punched ovals.

Tattered Flower

The theme of my recent demonstrations was floral and this is one of the cards made as an example of how easy it is to make flowers just by tearing paper (and it uses up lots of scraps too which is good). Background paper is by Laura Ashley and the leaf and sentiment used stamps from Elusive Images.

More paper Roses

As promised here are some more of my paper roses which are ready to be used on boxes, cards, frames or whatever. The smaller ones are made from ordinary weight paper and larger ones from various weights up to 160gsm paper/card and one in grunge paper. Some are ready printed papers and some I have printed using various CDs and so on. I spotted some similar ones by Prima while I was out shopping yesterday.

Bah Humbug 13

Bah Humbug challenge 13 is Labels and Tags and I've been really busy since this was issued so I opted for a quick card this week to be sure of catching the deadline (I'm trying hard not to miss a week). I've used background paper, some tags and a sentiment from Polkadoodle Jingle Jangle Christmas collection. Edges were sponged with Broken China Distress inks and I felt that the sentiment went well with the little house on the tags.

I'm Back!!

My friend Anne was concerned as I'd not posted anything for a few days so here is a photo frame which I decorated with hand crafted paper roses. The frame was a lucky find in the shop where everything is one price and the photo is one which I printed from Joanna Sheen's CD by Jane Netley Mayhew. The swirl is a Sizzix die cut and the petals of the roses were made using paper from Artylicious cut with various sizes of six-petalled punches - the smallest ones with a 7/8 inch punch and they were fiddly to make.
The main reason I made these flowers was to demonstrate at a local Hobby and Woodworking show where I have demonstrated before and wanted to come up with something a bit different this time. I will show you some more of the roses tomorrow.

Bah Humbug Challenge 12

This week's challenge on Bah Humbug is to use embossing of any kind for the Christmas card. I've used the digital embossing feature on the new My Craft Studio Pro programme for the background, some heat embossing on the main image using a Versamark pen and enchanted gold EP (this doesn't show up very well on the scan) and I also heat embossed the cut out bow with Versamark and clear EP to give a shiny look to the ribbon.
