For Brian

A friend asked me to make a personalised birthday for her partner so I went to Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion CD for inspiration and decided upon this image of a steam train with background papers to match. The sentiment was computer generated and for the numbers I used Xcut dies both were mounted onto Nestabilities shapes. The corner was a Sizzix die cut and the card used for layering was pumpkin pie from Stampin Up.

Peel-Offs

Challenge for week 11 at Bah Humbug is to use peel-offs - something I don't actually use very much currently although I do have loads of them!! For this card I used the negative pieces left over from one of the trees on the sheet, popped onto some card and sponged ink around before removing the bits and discarding them. I then put two peel-offs from the sheet onto card, cut all pieces out and mounted onto gold mirri. Background papers are from Papermania and the peel-off sheet which I've had for a few years was by Woodware

Polkadoodles Challenge 12

The challenge at Polkadoodle this week is to make a card following a sketch and also to use black and white with just one other colour. Background paper, border and image are all from Back to Nature and I also used Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing and a Stampin Up punch for the sentiment. The cute cow was printed out in a reduced size and layered onto the circles - various punched flowers and gems were added to complete the design.

50 Years

I was asked to make a Golden Wedding Anniversary card and I thought this image and background papers from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Romance CD would be appropriate. The images were all layered onto gold mirri card which doesn't show up well in a scan and I added a heart punched border (Martha Stewart), some gold ribbon and gold pearls - also gold Glamour dust was added on the frills of the dress.

Twenty First

Apologies for not posting much this week but my excuse is that I've been preparing samples for demonstrations I'm doing soon and I am wanting to keep these under wraps for the time being. However time flies as they say and I've just realised we are almost at the end of March and my grandson has a birthday so here is the card I've made for him. The image is Paul Texting digi image by Mo Manning coloured using Copic pens. Background papers are by Papermania, the numbers were cut using X-cut dies which I think are now discontinued and I also added some card candy from Craftwork cards which happen to match the dotty paper.

Vintage

The Bah Humbug challenge this week is Vintage and I've used background paper by K and Co, stamped a Santa image from a clear set of stamps by Habico with some Fiskars lace borders and stamped and decoupaged holly (also a Habico stamp). My pile of christmas cards is growing steadily by taking part in this challenge.

Daisy

The flower on this card was built up from scraps of paper punched with four different sizes of daisy punch - some punched leaves were added and some tiny rose buds from Wild Orchid flowers. Background paper is from stampin Up and the wording is part of a huge stamp (En Francais) also from SU. Ribbon is Papermania. Edges of panel, rosebuds and petals sponged with Adirondack dye ink
