Flower Power

This card is made for a man so although I've paper-pieced the van I selected a subtle floral design of paper.  The vehicle was stamped onto a strip of cream card and then again onto the designer paper so that I could fussy-cut and adhere in place after I'd coloured details such as wheels, windows etc.  Next move was to get out my Pixie Powders and colour a piece of kraft card which, when dry was cut into a couple of strips and dry embossed, then lightly touched with gold gilding wax.  The  background paper was an odd piece from a magazine freebie collection from last year some time.

I hope you've all survived yesterday's storms without any major damage - certainly good advice was given for us to stay indoors.  Not that I needed much persuasion to spent some crafty time.

  1. I love your flower power van and the subtle floral dp goes perfectly, and the pixie powders have coloured the kraft card beautifully and the embossing looks great. A super masculine make Val. x

  2. Hi Val,
oh I love this wonderful card and your design looks brilliant.
Love how you have paper pieced the van and your pixie powdeer embossed bacground looks fantastic.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  3. What a fantastic card! I just love how you designed this with the old "punch buggy" bus as we used to call them! Great embossing in the background! Not sure where you live, but here in PA today we had brilliant sunshine one minute and a blizzard the next! It stopped snowing now but all the trees are white! Strange weather everywhere!

  4. Another great card Val…love the paper pieced camper

  5. Love your card Val. Someone else is going to love it too. Hope you’ve been safe during these awful storms. Hugs Rita xxx

  6. A very masculine card with the embossed background Val, it looks fantastic.
