Allsorts Week 685

Guess what the challenge is this week on Allsorts - yes it's **Christmas in July** and today is set to be the hottest on record so they say🥵.  For this card I started with two pieces of patterned paper and a narrow strip of red arranged to look like wallpaper and carpet.  Next I die cut a window and backed it with a piece of scenic DSP.  Finally die cut the Christmas tree, presents and the black cat lying on the windowsill. I decided this one didn't need a sentiment on the front as it speaks for itself.

Window - Memory Box die
Tree and parcels - Sizzix dies
Snowy scene - DSP from Stampin' Up (long retired)
Cat - die which was a free gift when I purchased the window

  1. Lovely Christmas scene, Val. It seems strange making Christmas cards in this heat in the UK. Roll on Wednesday, when hopefully it will be cooler.

  2. What a great scene, it really caught my eye in the Allsorts gallery. Keep cool!

  3. Ironic isn't it Val ! But with our UK weather it could equally have been perishing cold. Love the silhouette Cat keeping an eye on things, many thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge this week.

  4. Great use of the DSP Christmas scene with another little cat sat on the window sill....phew it's hot not sure how much longer I can stay in my craft room

  5. What a fun scene you've created with your papers and images! Great card! Try to stay cool - I'm doing the same

  6. Love this "through the window" Christmas scene Val. Thanks so much for joining my "Christmas in July" challenge at Allsorts this week.
    Pauline xx

  7. Such a beautiful card Val. I shall be making Christmas cards later today, it does seem silly when it's so hot outside.

    Sue xx

  8. Clever mixing and matching and a great idea for the window. Love the cat. x

  9. Lovely cosy scene, great idea to use that paper behind the window! Let’s hope it cools down soon, my garden is parched and scorched xxx
